Welcome back for the chase. The two umpires lead the way before Aiden Markram and his men take the field. It will be the explosive opening combination of Mitchell Marsh and Ryan Rickelton for Sunrisers Leeds. Gus Atkinson will kickstart proceedings with the new ball. Dominic Cork informs us that this would be the third-highest successful chase in the competition's history if Leeds pull it off. Let's go!
... THE RUN CHASE ...
Game on - 168 was the average first-innings score in the men's competition at Headingley last season, and the Super Giants have gone past that. While the Sunrisers have the firepower to gun down this total, the Super Giants boast one of the best bowling attacks in the competition, with their pace battery showcasing its prowess in the last game. It is all set up for an intriguing second half, so don't go anywhere as the chase gets underway shortly.
Buttler and Klaasen tee off - It was Tim Seifert who got off the blocks quickly and made the powerplay count for the Super Giants. Aiden Markram and Jos Buttler did not find shot-making as easy as Seifert made it look, but that was also down to the adjustments made by the Leeds pacers, who realised that taking pace off the ball was harder to hit and mixed it up well. Buttler took his time early on before coming to terms with the pace and bounce of the surface and upping the ante. Heinrich Klaasen also joined the party as the runs began to flow from both ends during their 47-ball 105-run stand, and Sunrisers simply had no answers to the onslaught.
A tale of two halves - Twice in two games, a power-packed batting display from the Super Giants. It was Buttler the other day, and once again this innings bore his stamp, with Klaasen adding his own touch. Sunrisers Leeds did manage to bring the scoring rate down after the Powerplay and kept things in check for the first half of the innings, but the wheels came off in the second half as the Super Giants plundered 107 runs.
Anticlimactic end to the innings, but Manchester Super Giants finish with a big total of 181/3 on the board. Slower ball from Ellis, back of a length and darted across off. Tom Moores is a bit taken aback and has a poke at it pretty late, failing to connect. Buttler calls him through for a bye and the batters manage to scamper through.

OUT! CAUGHT! Finally, some respite for the bowling side. Nathan Ellis goes full and wide again. Heinrich Klaasen extends the arms and checks the lofted shot, hitting it wide of deep cover. Matthew Revis runs around to his right and takes a fine catch.
SIX! Powered all the way, and it will be FIFTY for Heinrich Klaasen as well. Banged in well short and slower around off. Klaasen hops up and slams it like a tennis forehand smash over deep extra cover for a biggie. The 100-run stand is also up between these two.
Full and wide again from Ellis, pace on as well. Hit away straight to mid off for a single.
SIX! Wow, somehow Buttler has got enough power to get it all over the ropes. Pitched fuller and wide outside off, Jos Buttler reaches for it and ends up slicing it one-handed over the cover fence for a biggie.

A wide yorker now, gets it in the blockhole. Klaasen stays back and squeezes it through point for a run.
Swing and a miss! Another slower one, back of a length and outside off. Potts gets a bit of extra bounce as Klaasen swings across the line and misses.
Slower one into the wicket, Klaasen waits well and rolls the wrists to pull it down to long leg. Brydon Carse runs to his right from the square leg fence and dives in to keep it down to two runs.
FOUR! Klaasen is just so difficult to bowl at the death. Full and fast, lands it on off. Heinrich Klaasen camps back again and just swats it hard down the ground, beating the long off fielder well to his right.
FOUR! Slower ball, just back of a length and on off. Heinrich Klaasen hangs back and slogs it away off the inner half of the blade and to the right of deep mid-wicket for a boundary.
WIDE! Not a great start. A low full toss, bowled well wide outside the off stump, ends up slanting past the tramline.

Ellis goes full and pace on again, pitching it just outside off. Klaasen hangs deep and smacks it along the turf to deep point for a run.
Pitched fuller and on off, Buttler backs away and hits it down to long off for just a single.
FOUR! Should have just been the single, and that's sloppy from Matthew Potts. Length ball, attacking the stumps, slogged away towards deep mid-wicket, where Potts moves to his left and lets it through the hands for a boundary. 150 up now for Manchester Super Giants.
Slower and into the pitch, over middle, pulled away down through square leg for a single.
Seam-up from Ellis, full and outside off. Klaasen digs it into the pitch and to the left of the bowler, who pouches it safely.

FOUR! Flatter one around off, Heinrich Klaasen goes for the reverse sweep and shovels it fine past short third for yet another boundary.
WIDE! The bowler and the keeper aren't happy with the call. Abrar follows Klaasen past the off stump, tossing it well wide and gets it to turn away. Klaasen looks to sweep but misses.
SIX! Not perfectly timed but that's classic Klaasen. Good length on off, Heinrich Klaasen presses back and slams it over the leaping fielder at wide long off for a maximum.
WIDE! Fired in a bit, pushed well outside the off stump, and Klaasen lets it go.
Just short and Mitchell Marsh does well not to be undone by the wicked spin. Quicker one around off, Klaasen rocks back to swing across the line but gets an outside edge on the bounce to short third.
Mighty Super Giants finally fall - A first loss of the season across the Men's and Women's competitions for Manchester Super Giants, but they continue to lead the combined points table. As for Sunrisers Leeds, after a narrow loss in the Women's game earlier on, the Men brought the smiles back onto the faces of the home crowd, picking up their second win of the season. It was also the highest chase at this venue in The Hundred, which shows how great the hosts were with the bat. Now then, The Hundred kicks into high gear on Wednesday, 29 July with a total of four fixtures lined up across both disciplines. Things will kick off with the Women's fixture between Welsh Fire and Trent Rockets beginning at 10.30 am GMT (4 pm IST). After that, it will be the London derby as the Oval witnesses an encounter between MI London and London Spirit. The first of those clashes will begin at 2 pm GMT (7.30 pm IST). A few words with the winning skipper - Zak Crawley says it was an unbelievable game. Feels Manchester Super Giants posted an above-par total but says he always had confidence in his batting line-up. Crawley feels it was still an average wicket, with the slower balls gripping in the surface, which made the strokeplay all the more remarkable. He admits he doesn't quite know how the ball kept flying to the boundary and describes Mitchell Marsh's innings as phenomenal, adding that he has never seen power quite like that. Reflecting on the campaign, Crawley says the opening defeat was a tough one to take, but beating Manchester Super Giants is a massive result for the team.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Mitchell Marsh gets the award for his power-packed knock of 63 off 26 balls up top, which really helped his side get ahead in the game. Marsh says it has been a good start for the team and calls it a great win for the lads. Smiling, he says it was a very good wicket, although a touch slower than the one used the other day. Marsh says his approach was to play proper cricket shots. He credits the Super Giants for bowling well in the powerplay but is pleased that they stuck at it. He adds that having Zak Crawley at the other end made a big difference, with their partnership proving to be the key to the chase. Looking back at the surface, Marsh says he doesn't think it changed too much during the game. He finishes by saying Headingley is one of the best grounds to bat at once a batter gets set and is delighted that his side got over the line.
Sunrisers' aggression prevails - Yes, there was a shift in the conditions, and the cooler evening conditions helped the batting side, but the batters of Sunrisers Leeds played a major role as they tamed a very highly-rated Manchester Super Giants bowling attack. Mitchell Marsh came out all guns blazing and yet again seemed to be in the form of his life. Ryan Rickelton, too, got a good start this time but couldn't kick on. Then came the 92-run stand between Marsh and skipper Zak Crawley, which broke the back of the chase, after which Harry Brook came in and had some fun, hitting the ball to all parts of the ground. Crawley remained unbeaten on 56, and Brook also made a quickfire unbeaten 42 off 17 to seal the win. With the ball, the Super Giants' pacers bowled with a lot of venom, but the quicker it came in, the longer it went over the ropes. Sonny Baker did show some class, and that yorker he bowled to get rid of Marsh was one of the balls of the tournament. The spinners really struggled to make any sort of an impact, though, and they were well beaten.
The crucial change in conditions - It is generally a very true surface at Headingley, but it did seem on the slower side in the first innings. Once the artificial lights came on, it slid on nicely, and the Sunrisers batters were simply relentless. We saw the Manchester top four fire with the bat as well, but batting was certainly easier in the second half of the innings as the likes of Jos Buttler and Heinrich Klaasen accelerated quickly. Nathan Ellis bowled well in the first innings, picking up a couple of wickets, but was a bit unlucky as well.
Sunrisers ice a high-scoring affair - What an evening out for the Headingley crowd as they have witnessed the Men's side thrash their rivals from Manchester in style. It was a game filled with big hits and some fast bowling, but in the end, the hosts had enough firepower to gun down 182 runs with plenty of balls to spare.
SIX! Dispatched with disdain, and Harry Brook finishes the game off in authoritative fashion. Leeds win by 8 wickets with 12 balls to spare. Noor Ahmad drops it short, on middle and leg. Brook picks up the length early and sets himself on the back foot before pulling it way over the deep mid-wicket fence for a maximum. Sunrisers complete a big chase in a canter.
Out comes the googly, full and wide on off. Zak Crawley drags it down to long on for a single.

A cry of anguish by Brook on missing out. This is a length ball, around off. Harry backs away to go big on the off side but he swings and misses.
SIX! Just a flick of the wrist and Harry Brook has cleared the fence with ease. Fuller and slanting in at the pads. Brook hangs low and gets his hands out in front. He keeps a still head as he plays a wristy flick over wide long on for a six. 4 more needed for Leeds.
Atkinson spots Brook taking a step towards the leg side and he responds by pushing it wider on off. Harry crouches and flashes but can only connect with thin air.
Full and fast, speared in at the pads. Crawley has a swipe across the line but fails to lay any bat on it. A leg bye is taken as the ball deflects off the pads to short third.
On a hard length, off-pace delivery. Brook makes room to glide it behind point. Ends up chopping it down to short third for a run.
Gus Atkinson is back on for his final set.
A bit fuller now, it is the googly, on off. Brook stays back to push it through the off side. It goes wide of short third off an outside edge. Single taken. Sunrisers Leeds need 12 more runs.
From around the wicket now, dropped short, on off. Zak hits it down to long off for one.
Floated up a bit, on middle and leg. Zak Crawley goes hard on the sweep but fails to connect and wears it on the pads.
Brook was gone had the throw hit. Turning back a touch, on a good length, on middle. Harry taps it wide of cover and sets off for a risky single. Aiden Markram moves to his right and releases an underarm throw at the bowling end but misses. The 50-run stand comes up off just 19 balls.
Serves the googly, on a length, across off. Crawley makes room to force the drive away but mistimes it down towards long off. They cross.
FOUR! Edged away by Zak Crawley, but he's made a bit of luck for himself. That brings up his FIFTY as well. Good length, in the channel, Crawley does open the face of the blade a bit and the ball races away to the deep third fence.
Full toss now, on middle, Crawley punches it down through mid on and the batters race back for the second run. Excellent running, and Crawley moves to 49 now.
SIX! Stand and deliver, what a shot! Baker goes back of a length now, over middle. Crawley holds his shape and whacks it off the front foot over deep mid-wicket for a biggie.
That's gone past the batter in a jiffy. A yorker, around 92 mph, and angled in from wider on the crease. This one lands just past the off stump and fails to squeeze it out.
FOUR LEG BYES! Under a run-a-ball required now. Great length and pace, but the line is too straight. Crawley fails to flick it off the legs but the ball goes off the pads and goes between the keeper and short fine leg for four leg byes.
Sonny Baker to bowl out now. He has been the pick of the bowlers across both teams tonight.
SIX! Harry Brook has surely killed the game in this set, three sixes and a total of 19 runs off it. Dragged length outside off, Harry Brook rocks back and slaps it over the back foot over deep extra cover and the ball sails over the ropes. 150 up for Sunrisers Leeds. SIX! Down the track and gets it over the ropes, does Brook. Drifted into the batter, Brook dances down the track, doesn't quite get to the pitch of the ball and whips it over cow corner for a maximum.

SIX! Walloped high and long by Brook. Dawson looks to go into the pitch but this one just sits up for the batter. Harry Brook hangs back and clobbers it in front of deep mid-wicket for a huge six.
