  • 166.6

Ish Sodhi to Babar Azam. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, outside edge to gully for no runs, fielded by Boult. Pakistan have declared. If the light holds, they will have 11 overs tonight at the New Zealand openers. This sort of a session is no fun for any opening batsman, one expects they will be entirely focussed on survival.

  • 166.5

SIX! Ish Sodhi to Babar Azam. Leg spinner back of a length, middle stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Long hop from Sodhi and it sits up perfectly for Babar to smash it away for six.

FOUR! Ajaz Patel to Sarfraz Ahmed. Stock length ball, off stump down the track flick, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Imperious from Sarfraz. Comes down the track and eases it for four over midwicket. He has been very assertive towards the spinners in this innings.

  • 35.3

OUT! Stumped. Yasir Shah to Trent Boult. Leg spinner length ball, off stump down the track defending, missed to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. What is Trent Boult thinking? He comes charging down the track and is beaten comprehensively by a big leg break and Sarfraz does the rest. Yasir Shah has his eighth and New Zealand are all out. They have lost the last 10 wickets for just 40 runs. Pakistan have enforced the follow on and no wonder. Yasir Shah took 8 wickets in the space of 27 balls, he will be desperate to get out there bowling again.

  • 35.2

Yasir Shah to Trent Boult. Leg spinner length ball, to leg on the front foot defending, to silly mid on for no runs, fielded by Abbas.

  • 35.1

OUT! L.B.W. Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Yasir Shah to Ajaz Patel. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Another wicket for Shah. He spins the ball past the inside edge and hits Ajaz Patel directly in front and the finger goes up. Speculative review from New Zealand, but in vain. Yasir Shah has seven.

  • చివరకి Over 35
Over 35. 4 runs. Bowler: Yasir Shah. New Zealand: 96/2 (rr 2.74)
  • 34.6

FOUR! Hasan Ali to Kane Williamson. Length ball, off stump on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Williamson has gone on the attack here and gets himself another boundary. Not a bad strategy, this he probably feels his tailenders have little chance of surviving very long against this assault from Pakistan.

  • 34.5

Hasan Ali to Kane Williamson. Length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Ali.

  • 34.4

FOUR! Hasan Ali to Kane Williamson. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Williamson makes it look easy again. It looks like he is playing a different game to all the other batsmen in this match.

  • 33.6

FOUR! Yasir Shah to Kane Williamson. Top spinning half volley, to leg on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. What a shot from Williamson. In the midst of all the carnage at the other end he plays a stroke of real class. Shows the bowler the full face of the bat as he launches him back down the ground.

  • 33.3

OUT! L.B.W. Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Yasir Shah to Neil Wagner. Top spinning length ball, to leg on the back foot defending, hit pad to. Wagner fails to pick the top spinner and it hit him right in front. Hopeful review from Wagner, but that is stone dead. Yasir Shah has decimated this middle order. Batsmen 4 to 9 for New Zealand have contributed a total of one run.

  • 33.2

OUT! L.B.W. Hasan Ali to Colin de Grandhomme. Reverse Swing-In length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Another wicket down! This time Hasan Ali bowls a lovely inswinger, de Grandhomme gets himself a little bit stuck on the crease and it hits him right in front, no thought of a review.

  • 30.5

    ట్రెంట్ బౌల్ట్ c Sarfraz Ahmed b Yasir Shah 0 (2)

OUT! Caught. Yasir Shah to Trent Boult. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed.

Boult prods forward and can only feather an edge through to Sarfraz. The finger goes up and it's all over in Dubai. Fittingly Yasir Shah finishes it off with his 14th wicket and sets off on a wild celebration. Almost like he had scored the winner at a World Cup final. Pakistan win by a huge margin of an innings and 16 runs. It was the first innings that did the damage. 90 all out and New Zealand needed a monumental effort in the second innings which they couldn't quite produce. To reach 312 wasn't the worst and some of their batsmen played some innings but Yasir, as well as Hasan Ali, were always lurking around the corner with a wicket ball to halt them in their tracks.
Brilliant effort from Pakistan to fight back after the defeat in the first Test and now it comes down to a winner takes all third Test back in Abu Dhabi. Should be a cracker with both teams having their moments of brilliance. Join us then.

Neil Wagner c Hasan Ali b Yasir Shah 10 (34)

OUT! Caught. Yasir Shah to Neil Wagner. Googly length ball, outside off stump moves in front slog sweeping, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Ali. This has been coming for a few overs. Wagner wasn't looking to block out against Yasir and was eyeing up the midwicket fence. Not the connection he would have hoped for as it goes straight up and Hasan Ali takes a good catch. Another five-wicket haul for Yasir and his 13th of the match. One more and he will have the second best figures for Pakistan in Tests.

  • 110.3

APPEAL! Yasir Shah to Neil Wagner. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump moves in front slog sweeping, hit pad to short leg for no runs, fielded by Azam, appeal made for L.B.W. Pakistan go up again but this time it's not given. Wagner's heart is pumping and the big shots are coming out. HawkEye shows the ball would have spun past the leg stump anyway.

  • 110.2

APPEAL! OUT changed by umpire to NOT OUT after REFERRAL. Yasir Shah to Neil Wagner. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump moves in front defending, inside edge to for no runs, appeal made for L.B.W. Clear inside edge on replay. Lots of excitement but for nothing in the end. Yasir is causing plenty of trouble to Wagner who is trying to get outside the line but there is too much spin for him to handle.

  • 109.6

APPEAL! Hasan Ali to Ajaz Patel. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot flick, hit pad to gully for no runs, fielded by Azam, appeal made for L.B.W. Hasan Ali is making things happen. Hitting the back thigh so height is an issue.

  • 109.5

  • 109.4

  • 109.3
    హెన్రీ నికోల్స్ b Hasan Ali 77 (187)

OUT! Bowled. Hasan Ali to Henry Nicholls. Seaming in length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, missed to. That's the big wicket Pakistan have been searching for. Nicholls has to drag himself off the field after batting so well for most of the day. It needed a beauty to dismiss him and that is exactly what Hasan Ali delivered. On line and with a little nibble back into him, knocking over off stump. That is probably game over for New Zealand.

  • 109.2

Hasan Ali to Henry Nicholls. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

  • 109.1
