Australia started brightly first up after winning the toss, but really lost their way in the middle overs against some accurate and wily spin bowling. Axar Patel really put the strangle on, picking up 3/38 in the process. That left the hosts to chase a below par total and they cruised for most of the innings, never looking in any real bother. Rohit Sharma completed a 14th career ODI century, blazing the ball to all parts of the ground with some scintillating strokeplay. Virat Kohli has an extremely talented side at his disposal, and they will look to carry this form into the T20Is starting soon. Australia will hope a change of fortune comes with the change of format.
