Captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors - Imran Tahir says it feels special to perform in front of the home crowd. He praised the management group for their brilliant support and said that being part of a franchise like the Warriors has brought a lot of happiness to the squad. He admitted that they do miss Mohammad Nabi, but added that Miraz has been excellent and that the team is delighted for him. Tahir also said they will take their next league game seriously, with the aim of continuing to win while sticking to the same process. He finished by thanking the crowd for their incredible support, saying it has always been unbelievable, and added that he is looking forward to the Barbados leg.

Skipper of the Trinbago Knight Riders - Nicholas Pooran admits that it was a disappointing season for them, adding that they lost their way midway through the campaign. He also takes responsibility for his own performances, calling them irresponsible. Pooran says there is plenty for the team to learn from the tournament and believes the setbacks have come at a time of transition. He feels they faltered at crucial moments, but sees it as an opportunity for the players to learn and grow. He adds that the onus is now on the local players to step up and make the most of their opportunities, insisting that there is no panic within the camp. Pooran also points out that they endured a disappointing leg back home. Overall, he describes it as a challenging season for the team, with things not going their way with the bat, ball or in the field.

Player of the Match -  Mehidy Hasan Miraz wins the Player of the Match award for his four-wicket haul. He says it’s a great moment for him and that he’s thoroughly enjoying his first season in the CPL. He adds that the plan was to bowl in the right areas, and he got plenty of assistance from the wicket. Keeping it stump-to-stump allowed him to pick up wickets.  He also mentions that the team has looked after him well and thanks the management for their support. He concludes by saying that they have one game left, and they will be looking to win it and hopefully go all the way.

Defending Champions bow out - The defending champions, TKR, have been knocked out after a disappointing season. They will now look to regroup and bounce back in the next campaign, while the Guyana Amazon Warriors will turn their attention to chasing a second CPL title.

TKR fall short with the bat - Earlier, TKR managed just 126 after being asked to bat first. Colin Munro, Alex Hales, and Justin Greaves all got starts but failed to convert them into substantial scores. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the standout bowler for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, claiming four wickets to derail the Knight Riders’ innings. With the victory, the Warriors also became the first team in CPL history to reach 100 wins.

Warriors’ bowlers seal the win - For the Knight Riders, Sunil Narine, Usman Tariq, Lahiru Kumara, and Akeal Hosein chipped in with wickets, but their efforts were undone by a lack of runs from the batting unit. TKR struggled to build partnerships and ultimately failed to put enough pressure on the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Warriors Cruise Past TKR - A comfortable run chase from the Guyana Amazon Warriors saw them beat the Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets, with more than an over to spare. The defeat brings TKR’s campaign to an end, knocking them out of the competition. Chasing 127 for victory, the Warriors lost both openers cheaply and were briefly under pressure. However, Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope steadied the innings with a crucial partnership through the middle overs, easing the pressure and putting the chase firmly back on track. Hetmyer eventually fell for 28, but Hope remained composed at the other end, finishing unbeaten on 42 to guide the Warriors to a clinical six-wicket victory.
