Chama Milind has returned into the attack.
Flighted fuller and outside off, pushed wide to the right of the cover fielder for another easy single.
Good length at the stumps, Kishan stays back and tucks it to mid-wicket.
Floated up outside the off stump, guided away with an open bat face and down to deep third for a couple of quick runs.
Gopal pulls the length back, bowling it flatter and outside off. Kishan rocks back and punches it to cover.
Bowled wide of the off stump, drifting it in. Kishan defends it on the front foot.
Tossed up on middle, Kushagra shows the full face of the blade and drives it down to long off for a single. Kushagra now moves on to 48.
An expensive over from Tripurana Vijay. Shreyas Gopal to continue.
Pushed through quicker on the pads, eased down to long on for one. 16 off the over, a big one for East Zone.
SIX! Tripurana Vijay is being put away to the cleaners right now. Tossed up on the pads, Kushagra reads it early, shimmies down the track and tonks it over wide deep mid-wicket for a biggie.
Bowled from around the stumps, floated on the pads, and Kushagra works it onto the leg side.
FOUR! That's struck really well. Floated up fuller around off, turns back onto the bat. Kushagra leans on and creams it through covers for another boundary.
Excellent batting. Full and around off, played away gently to the right of cover for a quick single. A single immediately after the boundary.
FOUR! That's wayward from the bowler. A half-tracker down leg, Kishan stays low, rocks back and pulls it down to the vacant long leg fence for a boundary.
Lobbed up, full and on off, driven along the turf and down to long off for a run more. This stand has now gone up to 70 runs.
Dragged length at the stumps, turns away and stays low. Kushagra does well to tuck it through square leg and he picks up another single.
That's an easy single. Gopal lobs the ball wide of the off stump, Kishan goes to cut but ends up jamming it to the right of the cover fielder for a single.
Dragged shorter on off, Kushagra punches it off the back foot and hits it to deep cover for a single.
Tossed up at the stumps, blocked to the right of the bowler.
Flighted delivery at the stumps, dips a bit. Kushagra leans forward to block but gets more of an inside edge.
Tossed up at the pads again, this time Kishan gets a good stride in and blocks it off the middle of the bat.
Flighted ball on leg, turns again. Kishan leans forward to block but gets an inside edge off the pads and the ball lobs up to the leg side. No short leg in place, though.
Dragged shorter around leg, turns a bit towards the batter. Kishan rocks back to pull but misses out and gets hit on the thigh pad.
Similar delivery to the previous one, relatively full and on middle. Kushagra leans on and clips it past the diving bowler towards long on for one.
SIX! Colossal hit! Tossed up on leg, Kushagra skips down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and thwacks it over cow corner for a biggie.
A bit quicker and flatter, darted across off. Kushagra hops to the off side and blocks it off.
DRINKS! Another strong hour for East Zone but South Zone are once again behind on the over rate. To make up the lost overs, it's been spin from both ends for a few overs and the bowlers have just gone through the motions, not really thinking about wickets. It is a delicate situation for Tilak Varma to handle and he will hope that he can find a way to attack while keeping up with the over rate. His counterpart, Ishan Kishan, however, will be much more relaxed with the way he's batting and his team has already breached the 300-run mark with just 4 wickets down. Could turn out to be a vital final hour on Day 1.
Flighted delivery outside off, stroked away past extra cover for a single. 300 UP FOR EAST ZONE!
Tossed up, very full and on off. Kushagra drives it hard into the deck but straight to extra cover.
Short of a length, turning in from outside off. Kushagra rocks back and punches it to the left of the cover fielder, who makes a sharp half-stop.
