Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan) has a Test batting average of 72.4 against Bangladesh and has scored 50+ runs in three of his last five innings against them, including an unbeaten knock of 171 runs against them in August 2024; indeed, they are the only team against whom he has a batting average of 50 or higher.
Nayeem Hasan (Bangladesh) is on a five-innings wicket taking streak in Tests and has taken nine wickets across his last three innings in the format; in fact, he (48) is just two away from reaching 50 wickets taken in the format.
Noman Ali (Pakistan) has taken 24 wickets across his last three Test matches, including two six-wicket hauls, and if three away from reaching 100 total wickets taken in the format; however, he has zero wickets from 67 overs across four career innings against Bangladesh in the format.

Pakistan are on a five-match losing streak in men’s Tests outside Pakistan, last winning on the road against Sri Lanka at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo in July 2023; the last time they lost more successive matches away from home was a seven-game stretch from December 2018 to August 2020.
Pakistan have lost 10 of their last 14 men’s Tests including an eight-wicket loss to South Africa in their most recent fixture, with three of their four wins in that stretch coming after they had batted first on the day.
Bangladesh have lost only one of their last five men’s Tests (W3 D1) and have won their last two in a row; the last time they won more in succession in the format was a three-match streak from April to November in 2023.
Bangladesh have won three of their last five men’s Tests at Shere Bangla National Stadium, including a 217-run win against Ireland in their last match there in November 2025; they had lost four in a row at the venue prior to those last five games.
This will be the fourth meeting between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium in men’s Tests, with Pakistan winning all three previous encounters including a win by an innings and eight runs in their most recent encounter there (04/12/2011).
Bangladesh have won their last two men’s Tests against Pakistan after not winning any of their 13 previous meetings in the format (D1 L12); in fact, 13 of the 15 completed Tests between these teams have been won by the team which bowled first on the day, including Bangladesh’s two wins in their most recent encounters.
