Shikha Pandey's story is one of two disciplined worlds colliding, a decorated career in the Indian Air Force running alongside a stellar decade as a stalwart of India's fast-bowling attack. Often affectionately called 'Shikhipedia' by her teammates for being an all-out cricket geek, her journey is rooted in intellectual rigor and sporting excellence.

Picked up to play for Goa at just 15 years old, she delayed her full domestic debut by a couple of seasons to focus on her education. She earned her degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 2010 before joining the Indian Air Force a year later, eventually rising through the ranks to become a Squadron Leader. Balancing her military career with cricket, she established herself as a formidable right-arm medium-pacer renowned for immaculate seam presentation and the ability to swing the new ball both ways.

Consistent domestic performances for Goa saw her earn a senior international call-up in March 2014, making her T20I debut against Bangladesh and becoming only the second cricketer from Goa to represent India. Later that August, she made her Test and ODI debuts against England.
