Calvin Harrison is an English right-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm leg-spinner who has established himself as an effective white-ball cricketer while continuing to develop his game in the longer format. Born in Durban, South Africa, on April 29, 1998, Harrison began his senior career with Oxford MCCU, making his first-class debut against Middlesex in 2019. He made his T20 debut for Hampshire against Sussex in the 2020 T20 Blast before later joining Nottinghamshire, for whom he made his List A debut against Warwickshire in 2023.
Harrison quickly became a valuable member of Nottinghamshire's squad, particularly with his ability to bowl attacking leg-spin. His performances also earned him opportunities in The Hundred, where he represented Manchester Originals from 2021 to 2023 before joining Trent Rockets in 2024. One of his standout moments came in 2023, when he claimed 5/11 against Northern Superchargers, recording the best bowling figures in the history of the men's Hundred at the time.
His career reached another important stage in 2025 when he joined Northamptonshire on loan. On his debut against Lancashire, Harrison produced a remarkable match-winning performance, taking 11 wickets for 153 runs, including career-best figures of 7/119 in the second innings. He later struck his maiden first-class century, scoring 122 against Kent, before making the move to Northamptonshire permanent ahead of the 2026 season.
A skilful leg-spinner who can contribute useful runs in the middle order, Harrison offers valuable versatility across formats. His experience in The Hundred and county cricket, combined with his ability to produce match-winning spells, has seen him develop into an intriguing all-round option on the domestic circuit.
