Beau Jacob Webster is an Australian international cricketer who plays as a tall, versatile right-handed middle-order batter and all-rounder. He grew up in the small Tasmanian town of Snug, playing local cricket for Kingborough and representing the Tassie Mariners at under-18 level in Australian rules football before choosing cricket over a potential AFL career. Making his first-class debut for Tasmania in early 2014, Webster gradually transformed into one of the most prolific and unique all-rounders in Australian domestic cricket, using his height to bowl both right-arm medium-pace and off-spin, having switched from a part-time offspinner to medium pace with the help of former Tasmania coach Adam Griffith.

In Australian domestic cricket, he has enjoyed a distinguished career with Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup, batting in almost every position in the top order before settling at No. 6 with outstanding success. His career reached unprecedented heights during the 2023-24 Sheffield Shield season, when he was named Player of the Series after scoring 938 runs and taking 30 wickets, becoming only the second player in the competition's history, after the late Sir Garfield Sobers, to complete the double of 900 runs and 30 wickets in a single season. He has continued to add to his all-round repertoire in the seasons since, with standout spells including a maiden List A six-wicket haul against Western Australia. Beyond state cricket, he has built a reputation in English county cricket with stints at Essex, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire.

Webster has also built a strong reputation in franchise cricket as a powerful middle-order finisher and handy bowling option in the Big Bash League, featuring for the Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars before returning to his home state side with the Hurricanes. His explosive lower-order hitting and versatility in the field have made him a popular overseas draft option across short-form leagues globally. Internationally, Webster made his Test debut for Australia against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the final match of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, called up as injury cover for Mitchell Marsh. He made an immediate impression, scoring 57 in the first innings to steady Australia's middle order, then finishing the chase with an unbeaten 39 in the second, including the wicket of Shubman Gill along the way, as Australia sealed the series.

Webster went on to secure a regular place in Australia's Test side, playing a key role at the 2025 World Test Championship final against South Africa at Lord's, where his 72 was the highest score of the match, though Australia ultimately fell short as South Africa chased the game down. He continued to contribute across Australia's tour of the West Indies that followed. During the 2025-26 Ashes series, after sitting out the first four Tests, Webster returned to the side for the New Year's Test in Sydney and delivered another match-defining performance, combining an unbeaten 71 with a three-wicket haul.
