Dawlat Zadran to Moeen Ali. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by Zadran. Well it's not 400 but it is a score that any team would struggle to chase against England's bowling attack. What a performance from Eoin Morgan, presumably he isn't having any trouble with his back now. Moeen Ali then continued the charge with four more lusty blows. Such was the display of hitting from the left-handers it's easy to forget the role Bairstow and Root played in setting the game up for England. All you can say to Afghanistan now is good luck.

  • 49.5

SIX! Dawlat Zadran to Moeen Ali. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. That's the long part of the ground but Moeen has hit it so well it it's gone all the way. One more six will take England to 400.

  • 49.4

SIX! Dawlat Zadran to Moeen Ali. Slower ball back of a length, to leg on the front foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Hammered over the legside boundary, I'm losing count of the number of sixes we've seen today.

  • 49.4

Wide Dawlat Zadran to Moeen Ali. Bouncer, down leg side ducked Leave, Left to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Khil.

  • 49.3

FOUR! Dawlat Zadran to Moeen Ali. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, Gloved in the air uncontrolled past fine leg for 4 runs. A good bouncer from Dawlat but it's looped off the glove over the keeper and runs all the way to the boundary.

  • 49.2

Dawlat Zadran to Chris Woakes. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, bottom edge to short leg for 1 run, shy attempt by Zadran.

  • 49.1

OUT! Bowled. Dawlat Zadran to Ben Stokes. Yorker, to leg moves in front flick, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to. That's a good yorker and Stokes is too far across and bowled round his legs.

  • 48.6

SIX! Rashid Khan to Moeen Ali. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed over long on for 6 runs. Launched over the ropes for six more and that makes this spell from Rashid the most expensive ever in a World Cup.

  • 48.5

Rashid Khan to Ben Stokes. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump moves in front pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run.

  • 48.4

Rashid Khan to Ben Stokes. Googly back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, bottom edge to wicketkeeper for no runs, dropped catch by Khil.

APPEAL! Rashid Khan to Ben Stokes. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Khil, appeal made for Stumped.

  • 48.1

SIX! Rashid Khan to Moeen Ali. Googly half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. Moeen Ali picks up where Morgan left up, blasting Rashid down the ground for six.

  • 47.4

OUT! Caught. Dawlat Zadran to Jos Buttler. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, mis-timed in the air under control to mid off, by Nabi. Well that will be out too. It's hard to follow an innings like the one Morgan played and Afghanistan are finally having some joy at the end of the innings. Buttler mis-times his shot and lobs up an easy catch.

  • 47.3

Dawlat Zadran to Jos Buttler. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot flick, to square leg for 2 runs, fielded by Zadran.

  • 47.2

  • 46.6

OUT! Caught. Gulbadin Naib to Eoin Morgan. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Zurmatai. Finally Morgan mis-hits one and he's caught at long off. Again it was hit flat but not quite hard enough. What an incredible record-breaking knock from the England skipper.

  • 46.5

SIX! Gulbadin Naib to Eoin Morgan. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. Hit hard and flat and another hits the fence on the full. Morgan breaks a record for the most maximums in an ODI innings.

  • 46.4

OUT! Caught. Gulbadin Naib to Joe Root. Slower ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Zurmatai. Well Joe Root simply can't keep up with Eoin Morgan and he finds long on with that attempt at hitting a six. Still it's another valuable contribution from him, time for Jos Buttler.

  • 46.3

Gulbadin Naib to Eoin Morgan. Half volley, down leg side on the front foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Zadran.

  • 46.2

SIX! Gulbadin Naib to Eoin Morgan. Slower ball back of a length, off stump on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Six more, it was slow and he waited for it and powered the ball over the ropes yet again, absolute carnage from Morgan.

  • 46.1

SIX! Gulbadin Naib to Eoin Morgan. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. Drilled straight for six, there is no stopping this man.

Jofra Archer to Ikram Ali Khil. Short, outside off stump ducked Leave, Left to backward square leg for no runs, fielded by Rashid. The last ball is another nasty short one that hits the batsman on the helmet. A rare maiden then in the final over of the 100. Afghanistan bat out their overs for the first time this tournament. They were never really in with a chance of chasing down that massive total. There were some positive signs from their middle order though who put together some decent partnerships in the middle of the innings. So England move to the top of the table on a day when it rained sixes and records tumbled. Eoin Morgan was the star of the show as the England batsmen take it in turns to score centuries in this tournament. That's all from me here at Old Trafford, join us again tomorow for more World Cup action.

OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to Rashid Khan. Short, outside off stump backing away cutting, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep point, by Bairstow. Steps back, has a swipe at a short ball and sends it up in the air towards deep cover. Bairstow takes the catch and turns to the crowd who cheer as they've been having some fun and games with him out there.
